PASTOR MICHAEL & KATIE DENTON

Pastor Michael Denton grew up in the Bay Area in a Christian home where he learned to love Jesus, music, serving and surfing. He is a graduate of Trinity College of the Bible and has furthered his education through Gateway Seminary.

He has taught piano, toured extensively throughout North America in a vocal group with his brothers, and has spoken at conferences and retreats all over the U.S. He has led numerous missions trips to India, Thailand, and the Virgin Islands, and speaks some Russian, Telugu, and quite a bit of Spanish.

Michael has served as a music pastor, children’s pastor, and youth and family pastor in the Bay Area prior to coming to First Baptist Nipomo in 2021. His passion is one-on-one discipleship and helping others discover their God-given purpose in life.
